High quality factors such as prime location, vineyard management/hand-tended vines, low yields rigorous fruit selection, a state of the art winery, a competent winemaker with the latest winemaking tools/equipment and the best quality French oak barrels all come at enormous costs. In truth, it is difficult to produce a superlative, knock out bottle of wine every vintage . . . but we try.
At Kenefick Ranch, the wine-making begins in the vineyard and is completed in the cellar – our philosophy places equal emphasis on both. We use native yeasts, hand-crafted techniques and new French Oak integration to produce new world wines with soft tannins and a naturally higher acidity. “Our philosophy is to achieve perfect equilibrium, offering approachability at an early age, but with enough structure to cellar for ten to twenty years,” says winemaker Kent Jarman. Balanced and well-structured, Kenefick Ranch wines deliver, whether you drink them now or later.
