High quality factors such as prime location, vineyard management/hand-tended vines, low yields rigorous fruit selection, a state of the art winery, a competent winemaker with the latest winemaking tools/equipment and the best quality French oak barrels all come at enormous costs. In truth, it is difficult to produce a superlative, knock out bottle of wine every vintage . . . but we try.
At Kenefick Ranch, the wine-making begins in the vineyard and is completed in the cellar – our philosophy places equal emphasis on both. We use native yeasts, hand-crafted techniques and new French Oak integration to produce new world wines with soft tannins and a naturally higher acidity. “Our philosophy is to achieve perfect equilibrium, offering approachability at an early age, but with enough structure to cellar for ten to twenty years,” says winemaker Kent Jarman. Balanced and well-structured, Kenefick Ranch wines deliver, whether you drink them now or later.

Marzipan, lemon curd, and Honeysuckle notes on the aromatics. Honeydew melon and underlying creamy notes finish this crisp white. A wonderful wine that pairs with a variety of foods from fish to heartier meats, even with food that have heavier spiced flavors.
2019 was a unique growing season for Napa. The crops were significantly below average yields and the season was long and cool. Excellent hang time and perfect temps gave us ideal ripening for the Sauvignon Blanc. Slightly more leaning to the crisp grapefruit side of things, but still showing those tangerine and tropical notes we love so much from this Sauvignon Blanc.
Heavier crop loads and a very cool growing season allowed for some ideal extended hang time. Perfect fall weather gave way to even ripeness patiently brought in throughout the valley.
Baker's chocolate, fine tobacco leaf, and a brooding dark fruit profile form an intense nose. Balanced tannin to oak ratios supports the jammy and refined fresh berry profile.
Bright red fruits, rhubarb, and baker's chocolate on the nose. Complex notes and firm tannins round this beautiful wine.
Rated 93 pts by Antonio Galloni who called this Cabernet Franc "dark, fleshy, and wonderfully resonant."
The low yielding Clone 6 block is intense in color, structure, and complexity. The Clone 15 sets the fresh berry tones for the blend. These together make this an incredible wine. Flashed in new oak and some extended aging, this is a great wine to cellar for a bit. Integrated oak with the fine tannin structure allow for an excellent mid palate and long finish.

Dried Cherry, intense cassis, subtle coriander, and fresh plum make up the aromatics. Raspberry preserve, vanilla bean, and super fine, soft tannins seamlessly weave the palate together.

The aromatic profile is made up of anise notes, floral essence, honeydew melon, and citrus blossoms. All of this is underlined by a rich grapefruit, white peach presence on the entry. A creamy middle palate supported by a crisp finish. A truly delicious wine from first sip.
Plum, bright berry notes, and spicy notes form the aromatics. Silky layered tannins, are underlined by blackberry preserve and tamarind.

"An unsual blend of Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc..this is another fabulous wine from Kenefick Ranch. Fresh and vibrant on the palate, with terrific fruit density, the 2016 has so much to offer."
An up and comer on the Kenefick Ranch, the Clone 6 block yields tiny berries and a very small crop. We don't ever sell the fruit and it's used selectively for various blends. Enjoy the underlining balanced 337 clone in this Cab Sauv blend.
A blend of the five essential "Bordeaux" varietals from the Kenefick estate, this is the culmination of how the diverse profiles between varietal, soils, and microclimate can come together to create a stunning wine. Bright cherry, baker’s chocolate and cassis leap out of the glass to form the aromatic profile. The palate consists of fresh berries, underlined by custard and fresh vanilla bean. Velvety rounded tannins are finely integrated to extend the finish. Good to drink now and will cellar well for the next 15-25 years.
Rated 90 Points from Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate.
Pluot, cherry anise and fine cocoa are exhibited on the aromatic profile. Bright red fruit and boysenberry preserves are underlined by a clean crème brulée middle. The finish is extended with very soft tannins accented with new French oak. Good to drink now and will cellar well for the next 8-12 years.
