Picked from our best lots of Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is a barrel selection of our best 3 clones (cl. 169, cl. 15, and cl. 337). Three of the best barrels are selected, blended and then flashed in a small amount of new French Oak to add texture and length. Aromatically, the 2012 DC shows elements of blueberry, fine dark chocolate and tobacco leaf. The palate is superbly integrated between silk tannins, and the fresh berry fruit profile on the middle and entry portion of the palate profile. Fine oak nuances, spice and elements of currants provide the extended finish.
